Not sure what to say?

Pete was always my favorite among the American Legion WWII veteran fathers in Boy Scout Troop 329. I have many fond memories of him telling WWII stories at camp while we gorged ourselves on watermelon. The best of the stories were always told late at night around a fading camp fire or to cold sleepless boys huddled in a tent because of the pouring rain. Us boys always wanted stories of shooting and killing Nazi Germans. Pete somehow always made the story about the human interest side, of being...

Jeannie, John, and uncle, Jim:
I send you my condolences. Pete was one of the Woodville "regulars" that I remember from my childhood years.
I wish you all the best in the coming days..

John,Chris,Jean, and family, Pete truly was a gifted story teller, and that was passed on to John. It was always a pleasure seeing Pete, most years it was only at the 4th of July but whether it was at the Legion or the 4th,those places won't be the same without Pete Linke. He and Fran will always be together now. Take care and God Bless. John & Marty DiMasso

i am very sorry for your loss

John & Family; Carin and I want to convey our deepest condolences on the passing of your Dad; Pete. He was a great guy, a great father, and a genuine war hero. Hang in there. Best Regards,

I was very saddened to learn of Pete's death. I'm glad I got to see and speak to him this past summer.

John,Jean, and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you. You are all so blessed with many great memories. Uncle Pete's life was memorable to so many. I had just recieved your letter about Uncle Pete's move to Charlotte. It's great he was able to move there for his last few weeks. I was planning on calling him. I remember the 20-30 years he announced the fireworks donors for the 4th of july celebration. His voice echoed through Woodville on those loud speakers. Uncle Pete always had a...

Pete and Fran were residents here at Mayberry Village. We all enjoyed listening to Petes war stories, his story and joke telling on soup nights. Pete was wealth of information and you could always count on an engaging conversation with Pete. He and Fran are greatly missed by his friends and the staff of Mayberry Village
