Not sure what to say?

I went to church at Faith Lutheran with Marlys and their children as a kid and their neighbor in the 1970s. For a few years, she was like a second mom. Fond memories. Always a kind and generous spirit. We lost touch over the years. May she rest in peace.

I remember Marlys from 1980 when she took over the job I had at St. Joe's Hospital in the OB/GYN Department. We became friendly during her training period. Her laugh was infectious and her Christian faith was genuine. We stayed in touch socially for several years and I spent time alone with her and sometimes with her family. I have very fond memories of those times. Regrettably, we drifted apart as our lives went forward but she will always occupy a fond place in my heart. I know that...

my condolences to the family for their loss. Marlys was a classmate of mine at Roosevelt and a good friend. She will be missed.

Marlys was a cherished friend and I am so blessed to have known her. She was kind, wise, loving, devoted to her family and had such a beautiful Christian faith.

I knew the whole Ackerman family from Faith Lutheran Church many years ago. So sorry to hear of Marlys' passing.

Both Marlys and Doug Hoover were great neighbors in our Meadowview Subdivision, offering practical support to many of us over the years. Marlys' love for God and her family were evident in all she did. Attending her home Bible Studies was a singular blessing. She will be sorely missed.

We were sorry to hear of Marlys' passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time of mourning

I knew Marlys during my 7 years from working @ St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. I worked in the Reichert Health Building for Dr. David Middleton, OB/Gyn. She and I spoke often in regards to work, but we always managed to have great conversations after "business" talk was over. She was a lovely lady. Everyone who knew her felt the same way. I'm so sorry for your loss, but am sure she has left a million wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
