Marlys was every thing that Naples was when it was idyllic . What a wonderful person! I always loved seeing her because she was a true Neopolitan!

At the most recent Old Timers Reunion with Mark Thornton

Jean and Family,
We are both so sorry about the passing of your sweet Mom. Mark came to know her through Gulf Coast Roofing, and a mutual dear friend, Roan
Johnson. Mark thought she was the sweetest lady, said she reminded him of his beloved Grandma Thornton. I finally got to meet her at a Old Timers Reunion and was able to hear so much about Naples history from our conversations. Rest In Peace Marlys.

Marlys held a very special place in my heart , with her kindness and consideration. So sorry to learn of her passing. My condolences to the family.

Jean and Family...I am so sorry to learn of Marlys' passing. Always a true friend to the Riner Family, I will treasure the memories she shared with me about my Great-Grandparents and the original old Naples. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed. Love to you all. Debra (Riner) and Ron Goldberg
