Sept. 11, 1970 - May 21, 2016 MARQUS AVIS PETTWAY, GSM2, USNR, a native of Mobile, Alabama, departed this life on Saturday, MAY 21, 2016, at a local hospital, Marqus A. Pettway retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of honorable service. Marqus A. Pettway was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Lynn Pettway-Harris and his sister Felicia Harris. Marqus A. Pettway leaves to cherish his memories a lifelong friend and wife, Rosalind R. Robbins-Pettway; mother- in-law, Edna Robbins; father, Sammy Lee Harris, and Labarron (Patricia) Gates; children, Alexandria Queen, Joshua Robbins, Alicia Pettway, DeAndre' Robbins, and Marqus Pettway, Jr.; siblings, LeTonia Pettway, Samantha Harris, Carlous (Lashanda) Harris; sister- in- law, Angie Dixon, brother- in- law, Rodrick Robbins, Sr., sister- in- law, Clarissa Robbins; four grandchildren, Makiylah, Antwon Jr, Trenton, and Tiyana; one maternal, aunt Patricia (Sylvester) Square; maternal uncles Rev. Timothy (Joyce) Pettway; Willie (Sharon) Pettway, and Charles (Barbara) Pettway; a host of other siblings, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and Military Friends. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 9 a.m. until the 11a.m. funeral hour at Reese Funeral Home. Bishop Dickie Robbins Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, AL. Arrangements are entrusted to the careful direction of Reese Funeral Home 925 S. Bessemer Ave. Prichard, AL.
