Marsha Jean Dokken

Marsha and I met when she became the secretary for Shingle Creek elementary school. She was a new secretary and and I was a new principal and we both faced the daunting task of our first budget process in Minneapolis Public Schools. Marsha was sure we could do it with help from other secretary friends and she was correct, we completed the process with flying colors. I grew up with Marsha when we lived across the street on 41st & Girard Ave No. We went to high school together - class of '64 (me) and '65 (Marsha). I thought the world of Marsha. She was incredibly kind and compassionate and had such a fabulous sense of humor. She will be very missed by those who knew and loved her.
