I first `met´ Marshall Cook 32 years ago, in 1992. I was a lost undergrad who had the yearning to write when I wandered into a bookstore and found How to Write with the Skill of a Master and the Genius of a Child. There was something so comforting about his writing style, his enthusiasm for the craft and his empathy and patience for those learning it. I carried that book with me all over.
