Marshall Holmes Earl Jr.

I remember my first year at Woodberry, 1955, Marshall and I became friends, and my memories of him are his skill and interest in science and math, as well as Latin and history. He was gentle and sweet, and and we were very similar in our interests, and also with of us being kind and gentle, and not competitive and fierce. I remember Marshall at Woodberry as a gentle and humble man who was very very smart. I send my warm regards and deepest sympathy to his family.

I have fond memories of working with Mr. Earl, he was dignified and cultured, but we also shared a laugh or two from time to time. I learned a great deal from him and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know him. His memory will remain dear to me always. My thoughts and prayers are with his lovely Rita and the entire family.

I worked with Mr. Earl 40 years ago and will always remember him as an intelligent and well-respected professional.
