I remember meeting Barbara on Easter Morning during Sunrise service at Wesley United Methodist Church, Hollywood. She did the prayer for our service. As she was praying, it really touches my heart and the only thing that I could say is “God let me meet this lady after the service.” I remember some of the words that she said in her prayer “Let God into your heart, Open the door and invite HIM in. I, too, grew up in Morris Brown AME, and I will always remember hearing Mr. Mitchell read the announcements and seeing him smile. He will be missed.
