Not sure what to say?

The Edsel's were one of the best groups to never make the big time. I am from Campbell, Ohio. I first heard them in 1958 at Memorial High. They were the Temptations of their time. Although "Rama Lama Ding Dong" was a hit, they did other tunes that were fabulous. "What brought us together" comes to mind. Marshall was a big personality in the group. That deep voice was solid. He was a wonderful man who represented Campbell, ohio very well.

We just went to see the Edsels this past Sat in Maumee. They were absolutely fantastic. Still, we had special
memories of Marshall and just how great he was. Still miss him and his terrific part in making the Edsells
so great. I trust that his family is well. Please know that we keep them in prayer. May they have nothing but
peace and loving memories of this special man in their lives.

I received the email suggesting a comment on the anniversary of Marshall's departure to heaven. I had a rock band in 1961-63 called The Del Rays. One of my band members was friends with Larry and Harry Green and George Jones and may have known Marshall and James Reynolds. The "Del Rays" were very successful and well known in the Youngstown area. We were best known at the Elms Ballroom, Idora Park Ballroom, and The Silver Dollar Cafe and Lounge on East Federal Street. We performed at the...

I just learned of Mr.Sewell's passing and
I am very sorry to hear this. We had the
privledge of seeing The Edsels several
times & once I even had the opportunity
to shake Mr.Sewell's hand & tell him how
much we all love the Edsels. He especially was my personal favorites of the group. What a talented & kind performer. His family & friends are all in my prayers. With Respect, a 66 year old groupie/fan.

Nick, The Del Rays

I am from Campbell, Ohio, and knew the Edsels. They were the best, and Marshall was special. His memory will remain forever etched in vinyl, tape, and CD's.

I went to see the Edsels perform at Brecksville Home Days on 6/29/13. It was then that I learned of Marshall's passing and I was heartbroken. I sat there with tears rolling down my cheeks and I could not stop. I did not know him personally, other than to say hi and tell him how great the Edsels sounded after a performance, but he was always so kind. He was truly one of the nicest people I've ever met. I wanted to offer my sympathies to Barbara and the rest of the family at the show in...

May God bless and keep the Sewell family in there time of need...love always.

I will always remember Marshall as a truly good man and a fine and dedicated Police Officer. I had the pleasure of working with him for several years in the 3rd Police District. Marshall conducted himself with great dignity, yet still had a good sense of humor. He always laughed when I called him "the man who put the Ram in the Ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong". Rest in peace, buddy. No doubt you are serving in the Lord's personal guard right now!

The kind and gentle person he was, I'm sure the one who made him, Knew him from the start . God's word promise to bring us to a place that is kind, a place that will replaced the dying world we now know. May he rest in peace until the resurrection that Jesus promised.
