Rev. Smart was born on February 16, 1928 and passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016. Rev. Smart was a resident of Winter Haven, Florida at the time of his passing. He was formerly from Greenfield, Indiana. He was married to Nadine. Family will receive friends at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow FL on Monday September 5th from 4-6 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday September 6th at Hobe Sound Bible Church 11295 S.E. Gomez Ave Hobe Sound FL.
Marshall was a dear friend. We started preaching on the court house square many years ago. He was a true man of God and will now be forever rejoicing in heaven. Very sadly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him

Bro. Smart was one of my favorite Holiness preachers. I had the privilege to set under his preaching on different occasions. I always enjoyed listening to him. We in the Holiness movement will greatly miss him, but as the Apostle Paul said, " It's better to be absent from this body, and present with the Lord." He, and his good wife, Nadine, are now enjoying their Eternal blessing.

We had the privilege of hearing rev..Smart many times at our church Pilgrim Holiness Church in Griffith,ind.He was one of the best evangelist I think we had.His wife and him were very talented and such a joy to hear their music and hear him preach.Now they are together again rejoicing in that city they lived for.
