I'm so sorry for your family's loss. I was one of Martavius' 8th grade teachers at Kennedy. He was always a delight in my Social Studies class. He was always concerned about how he was doing academically and behaviorally. His final grade was an A and he really earned it. He would sometimes come in during lunch to work on homework and get extra help. He sat near me for almost the entire year.
