Martay Lamar Arrington, 34, passed away on March 15, 2022. A lifelong resident of Hampton, he graduated in 2005 from Hampton High, Hampton, VA. He was employed with Spiegel/Signautre Style Inc., Sears holding Company and Huntington Ingalls - Newport News Shipbuilding.
Martay is survived by his parents, Yvonne Johnson Arrington and Bernard Robert Arrington, Sr.; brother, Bernard “BJ” Arrington, Jr; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was baptized at a early age at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple, Hampton, VA.
Those loved ones remaining to treasure the memories of his life and love are his parents: father Bernard Robert Arrington, Sr. (Sharon) , mother Yvonne Johnson Arrington of Hampton, VA, and brother Bernard Robert Arrington, Jr. of Newport News, VA, step sister Jasmine Blanks, Hampton, VA, two nieces Morgan and Leah, one nephew J-Shon, two special aunt (Delores Parker, Rocky Mount, NC & Katrina Peterson, Plainsfield, NJ), two uncles (Paul Johnson, Littleton, NC & Raymond Arrington, Panama, City, FL and three aunts (Addie Ford, Littleton, NC, Joyce Rodriguez, Brooklyn, NY & Belinda Dunbaugh, Annapolis, MD). Special people in his life was William Pope, Jr., Hampton, VA, Nettie Pope, Como, NC, Tiwanna and Aniah Puryear, Fayetteville, NC. Special Friends Denson (Dee), Santiago (Jose), Michael Lamm, Charlie (Butterbean), Tammy Kruffman, Yvette Haynes, Amanda and a host of cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10-12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton, 757-825-8070. Martay's final resting place will be in the Johnson's Family Cemetary, Littleton, NC.

I worked with Martay & His mom and Sears years ago and come to work with him at Newport News shipbuilding he was also a good friend of the family coming to a lot of our cook outs he was always a pleasant person and his presence in this world will be greatly missed my condolences to his family may he Rest In Peace
