I was so happy when she taught me how to make candy on a wintry day when we boiled up some maple syrup and poured it into the snow for it to harden. What a dear memory to have of Martha. I liked her very much. I send my sympathy to her family.

I met Martha on Thursday evenings at the Peterborough Library. I was volunteering & she would come in to read the paper before choir rehearsal at her church. We always enjoyed saying `Hello Martha´ to each other. Sincerely, Martha Collins
