Not sure what to say?

I met Martha in November of '09 when I shared a room with her for a few days in KU Medical Center. I spent just a few days with her before I ended up in ICU but in that time I had given Martha my contact info. After not being able to reach me by phone, she sent me a Christmas card and a note. We got in touch over the phone and spoke back and forth quite a few times. I am not sure when the last time I spoke with her was but it must have been just before she was in hospice. I am so very sorry I...

Dear Mom, I love you and miss you more than words can describe.

Your Daughter, Monique Glynos

I was a Kindergarten student who wasn't fond of being quiet OR sitting still. "Miss Simrall" once asked me to teach the class because I apparently had given her the impression that I thought I could do it. She became the student. Unfortunately, the student she became was "me". She was up and down out of her seat, talking, interrupting, raising her hand in the middle of my "lesson." By turning me into a teacher for a few minutes.....SHE taught me a great lesson. I might not have ever...

"Miss Simrall" was my first teacher as I entered Kindergarten in Kearney. We were her very first class. Even though she changed school districts, she then came to our high school graduation nearly 13 years later. How lucky we were to have had her!

I came across this obiturary from an e-mail from a dear friend. I graduated from HS in Wauwatos, WI in 1954 and just wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Martha sounded like a wonderful person who will be very missed. God Bless

I had the prvilege of teaching with Martha for many years at Northview. I was always touched by her genuine love for each of her students, and how she used soft music and art to both relax and stimulate their young minds. She was a blessing and inspiring. May she rest in peace...no more sorrow, no more pain.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Martha was an outstanding teacher and loyal friend! May your memories and knowing that others care, give you comfort.

I'm keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers. I truly enjoyed my times with Martha even though the circumstances were certainly not the best. I know the example of her fighting spirit will help you all in this sad time. God's blessings and comfort to you all.
