Martha McNeal Bahnson

Martha was incredibly kind to my family when we came out to visit back in 1998 from California. Uncle Mark and Aunt Harriet had recently moved into a retirement community and only had one spare bedroom for my husband and I. Martha offered to put up my children, Tommy and Cindy, who were 9 and 11 at the time. She made them feel so welcome in her home! Such a lovely person my beautiful cousin - inside and out. I wish we lived closer to each other!

I met Martha 18 years ago at the Well of Mercy in Charlotte. She was instrumental in helping me with, what was then, the start of my life's journey in many ways. She enveloped me, and all the group, with her warmth and unconditional love. Thank you dear Martha, your memory is forever with me.

Dear Natalie and Charlie, As someone who knew your Mom well for many years, I just want you both to now how often she shared with me her deep love for each of you and for your children. She was so proud of you both. Martha was truly a bright light in the world and I will miss her dearly. I imagine her now joyfully reunited with her "Mama and Daddy" as she called them, and her dear sister, Peggy. Sending much love to you and your family, Lynne Dulken
