Martie was one of my dearest friends while living in Wilmington, NC. She loved returning each year to Inland Greens where she and Bill had a townhouse. She also loved Wrightsville Beach and faithfully walked miles on the beach almost every day collecting shells and other beach objects that caught her eye.
