Martha E. Bloss

Martha E. (Resecker) Bloss, 80, of Rittman died Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at Regency Hospital in Barberton. She was born on March 15, 1923 in Monroe County to George and Okel (Ault) Workman and lived most of her life in the Rittman area. She was a nurse's aid at area nursing homes and was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of Christ in Sterling.

Her husband, Curtis Bloss, died in 1986. Surviving are sons, Eugene (Norma) Resecker of Woodsfield, and Harry (Connie) Resecker of Burbank; daughters, Norma (Elwood) Tanner of Orrville, Marilyn (Roy) Combs of West Salem, Mildred (John) Cyrus of Orrville, and Ilene (Jack) Thompson of Mansfield; 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bessie Stewart of New Matamoras; half-sister, Ruth Lasco of Martins Ferry. Sisters, Dorothy Hutchison, Susanna Kernen, Irene Baker, and Eva Butler all died previously.

Services will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Gillman Funeral Home, Rittman where friends may call from 7-9 P.M. on Thursday. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Pastor Donald C. Resecker will officiate.
