Martha Boeding

Martha Ann Boeding, 82, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 1:24 PM at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital. She was born on January 28, 1930 in Denmark, IA to Charles W. and Theresa M. Wiggenjost Davis. On January 22, 1949 she married William Joseph Boeding in Ft. Madison and he passed away on January 31, 1991. Martha was a legal secretary for Johnson & Skewes Law office for 30 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. Martha enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going to the casino and playing pinochle with her close friends. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers. Survivors include three daughters, Cathy (Robert) Ratcliff of Clarkston, MI Kimberlee (Robert) Mansheim of Ft. Madison and Kelly Boeding of Ft. Madison; Nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters. Friends may call after 2 PM on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Ss. Mary & Joseph with Rev. Mark P. Spring officiating. Burial will follow in Soldiers' Circle, Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Sacred Heart Church or the American Heart Association.
