Martha Burchette Obituary
SALISBURY - Mrs. Martha Jean Drye Burchette, 77, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at her home.
Born Nov. 28, 1934 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Spencer and Roy Cagle Drye. A graduate of Wincecoff High School, she attended South China Grove Church of God. She retired from Normans Drapery in Salisbury, having worked earlier at Litton Industries. She enjoyed yard work and decorating her home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her son, Barry Drye and step-daughter, Dana Griffith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Fred Burchette; sons, Wayne and Danny Drye; daughters Cindy Allen and Pam Allman (Ty); step-sons, Fred Jr. (Barbara) and Joseph Burchette; step-daughters, Vicky Burchette and Becky Overcash; brothers, Jack, Kenneth, (Anita) Gary and Hunter (Debbie); 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation & Service: 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home with funeral following at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home with Rev. Joyce Miles, minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park,
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care, 720 Grove St., Salisbury, NC 28144 and South China Grove Church of God, 163 3rd Ave., China Grove, NC 28023.

Martha was a beautiful person, very gentle & loving. She will be greatly missed by all. She is now present with our Lord and so happy to be with her son again. Bless you Fred.
