Martha Jane Burns, 75, of Sarasota, formerly of Corning, N.Y., Buffalo, N.Y., Westmont, N.J., Cherry Hill, N.J., Washington's Crossing, Pa., Charlotte and Winston-Salem, N.C. and Tampa. died May 25, 2011.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Toale Brothers Funeral Homes, Gulf Gate Chapel.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, William J. of Sarasota; and daughter Suzanne L. of Sarasota.
Martha Burns is an immensely beloved wife and mother by her family. Martha showed her husband and daughter truly what love is as she was completely selfless in her true love and undying devotion. She will be immensely missed by all.
Please accept my sincere sympathy for the aching sorrow of your loss.
Life is a journey, one followed along a path of love and devotions and ideals. But Martha's journey has not ended; it has, rather, merely taken a turn, and she waits for you, lovingly, in a better place.

Dear Suzanne and Mr. Burns, I just read online about nyour loss and I am deeply sorry. I prayed every day for Mrs. Burns and of course my dear Suzanne and Mr. Burns.
