Read MoreI was a classmate of Martha's at Defiance College and she was one of the " four flannels "as we called ourselves because we all had matching red flannel night gowns! We had a lot of fun together but we all settled in different parts of the country. I'm glad that Nancy Raymond got in touch with me and told me about Martha's passing. My sympathy to you all.

Marti and I became friends when I moved to her hometown, Fremont, Ohio in 1953. Even though she eventually moved away from Fremont, as did I, we remained friends through correspondence, class reunions and visits. She was a kind and loving person who cared greatly for her family as well as those with whom she came in contact. Her passing is a great loss to many.
