Sister Marty was an incredible woman and gave so much of herself to glorify God. I have so many memories of Sr. Marty from leading groups of NIU students on mission trips over their spring breaks. Sr. Marty had a beautiful and tender manner about her and was always teaching. One of my favorite memories is the first day of each work camp. Sr. Martha was one of the sweetest ladies I've met. She always was happy and never talked about her illness unless you pulled it out of her. She was ready to accept anything the Lord handed her, looking forward to meeting Him in person. I met her when she volunteered to pray by Planned Parenthood to save babies from abortion. She has such a loving heart, caring for so many other people. She will be so very missed. Grant eternal rest unto her oh Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her....

There is a light that will never be extinguished and her spirit will always be near us
