Charlie: It was always a happy experience to chat with Martha at the hardware store, to share an outing with her and Emory at some restaurant, to renew memories of the common heritage of the Methodist Church in Franklin NC, or to walk the gardens at our homes. Martha always made life happier for us. Nancy: I first met Martha when we returned to NC after many years away. I was saddened to hear of Martha´s passing. She was a beautiful, kind and caring lady whom I remember fondly in the days that we were acquainted. It has been many years since I have seen any of you, but I remember your family as special and loving. Emory: we had many professional dealings (I was Nick Daves´ Executive Assistant for 21 years), and we enjoyed working with Mandi when she worked with us as a teller. Lots of wonderful memories!! My deepest sympathy to all of you.
