Not sure what to say?

Still miss you every day. The need to share with you comes frequently. Big sisters are very very valuable and their loss is painful.

Professor Davis impacted the trajectory of my career more than any other person. I am now an adjunct professor at the college of law. I feel her influence constantly.

A kindred spirit professor, one smart lady, down to earth and genuine with a good sense of humor and twinkle in her eye. I loved my favorite property teacher.

Martha and I attended school from grades 1 thru 12. She was amazing. Lol. My Mom always said she knew Martha was smart! Rip dear friend

I am so sorry about your loss. I hate that I didn't keep in touch with Martha. She was absolutely responsible for me (the first Black professor) getting tenure at the University of Dayton. She invited me into her home with my youngest son over the summer after my first year. Without her coaching and mentorship, I would have never wrote the article I did. I retired in 2012.

I was just thinking of people who inspired me and I happened to look up Professor Davis today. Not fortuitous timing. She was the most direct influence on me when I chose what type of law to practice and how to get there and the whys. She is fondly remembered by this attorney whom she inspired and guided in so many ways.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

To Mike Harris. Yes, James is/was her Brother.

Did she have brother, James Sherrill, from McCallum Class of 62?
