I met and became friends with Martha at South Park High School in Beaumont, Texas in 1953. We graduated in 1955 and even though we went separate ways we stayed in touch through the years. After Herman died Martha moved to California to be with Robert and Josie. From that time until Martha's health began to fail we spent many hours visiting on the phone.
