I am so very sorry for your loss. What a beautiful life story! I fear that they just don't make people like Martha Gearan any more. It seems she lived life's most important mission - to connect in such a warm and human way with other people whatever their station or calling. Heaven is surely a better place today!

Dear members of the Gearan Family,
My sincere condolences to you on the passing the remarkable Martha Gearan. I found myself inspired as I read of her accomplishments, commitment to family, faith and strong sense of values. Mark, when you invited me to join the Peace Corps staff I saw these same strengths and values. Now I know where they were born. I am sure the legacy of Mrs. Gearan lives on in all those she has touched.
