Not sure what to say?

Sean and family, we did not know that your mother passed away.. We are so sorry for your loss. She is surely in heaven and no longer suffering. Our sympathy, Jan and Clem

I knew Jeanne as Sister John Helen, O.P. In 1958-59 at St. Laurence parish in Chicago, she was my fifth grade teacher... and what a teacher she was, from the top of her head to the tip of her toes! Her expertise was in language, and she drilled us in everything... prepositions, diagraming sentences, and heaven help us, proper grammar, (one of her "pet peeves" as she used to say!) A good deal of my life's work included writing and I attribute many of my skills to her, even as I type this...

I am so sorry that Jean is gone. The obituary was beautiful and a true tribute and description of Jean. She was an amazing person. RIP Jean. I am so grateful to have had you in my life. Love you!

I enjoyed listening to Madame Green's stories while teaching at Clague in between classes and anytime we could gather. She lit up the room with her humor and infectious smile. The respect she demanded from her students let them know how much she cared about and for them. Rest peacefully.

I have fond memories of Jean from her Chamber of Commerce days! Always a smile and a delightful person to chat with. I know you will miss your mom so much!

I feel fortunate to have worked with Jean at Clague Middle School. She was tough and demanding with her students but they respected her and knew that they were in the hands of a strong, caring teacher. Jean had a wicked sense of humor under that stern facade and was a great storyteller. Her family meant the world to her.

To the Green family, so sorry to hear of your loss. Jean was truly a one-of-a-kind--the best kind of person. I had the pleasure of getting to know Jean through the Chamber of Commerce many years ago when she was Membership Director. We had some great laughs together. She did indeed light up a room and you knew when Jean was around. She will be missed by anyone who knew her. Rest Well Jean.

Jean Green was truly one of the most beautiful, vibrant, caring and strongest lady I have ever met! She did light up the room with her cheery smile and fiery red hair. No matter how she felt or what was going on in her life, she always asked how I was doing and would share some wonderful advice or just a kind word to make the other person feel special. And boy did she love her family! Charlie, Sean, Pooja and her beloved grandkids, her love for you oozed from her! She meant so much to me and...
