Not sure what to say?

I never met Martha; but, I was so touched by this plaque at the Indiana Dunes. For awhile, I sat with Martha on her bench. I enjoyed the beautiful view of the dunes. And I had a snack! Thank you, Martha for the reminder. Hope you are in a good place!

I was so sorry to learn of Martha's death.
She and I were mentors together in the Build A Kid program. Martha was a kind loving suport to the children - and to me. She will be missed.

Dear Steve and Sam, I will always remember Martha's joyful spirit-I have always held her in high esteem. Every encounter was enriching. Her wisdom was in every thought. She was so naturally friendly..........I will hold a place in my heart for her smiling face. This is a time to be be good to each other. If you want to talk my cell is 773-2947541 -I would be an empathetic ear. My hear aches for the two of you as you pick up the pieces. Lots of love June and Michael.

Dear Steve and Sam,

I knew Martha at Earlham College; we were on the same hall on 3rd floor EH when her father died that first semester. Martha was very strong and understanding as we tried to comfort her without knowing her very well. Later, we were great friends. I worked a summer near Chicago and would visit Martha on weekends, meeting her mom and sisters. My heart is broken for your loss; please know that you are in my thoughts.

I knew Martha when Sam went to BJ's in Logan Square. I will always remember her with joyfulness and gratitude.

I've seen Martha many many times in my mind since Earlham days, and every time it's her quiet warmth, generosity of spirit, and open smile that settle in my head and stay for awhile. So lovely a person.

Sam and Steve- Martha and I were the best of friends in college. I will miss her enthusiasm and great tennis playing! So sorry for this to happen. Eira McDaniel

Martha and I were Mentors in the Build A Kid program at Dawes School. I knew her to be a very quiet and giving person. I'm sorry that it took a memorial service to learn of many more wonderful attributes she had and how many lives she touched.
Thank you for sharing your stories with us.

Rafael and I extend our sympathies to your family. Martha always had that sweet smile we will always remember.
