Not sure what to say?

Martha was a client of mine. We shared our love of senior or disabled dogs in need. I had the honor of visiting her at home and seeing the horse stables she converted to safe places for dogs. I also loved and promoted "Fur Refresh" organic dry shampoo, she was so smart, loving and very giving. I have missed her so much!

What a wonderful caring woman she was. I only wish to be a caring as she was for all animals.

Martha was/is my stepmother since I was 12 or so and I promise to anyone reading this, she inspired me like no other to learn and read... and she is one of the most brilliantly smart people, male or female, that I have EVER come across still to this day, a walking encyclopedia of the world... We would talk for 4 hours straight, no problem, an endless fabric of life in her with experiences to match... Just keeps me in awe when I think about her which is absolutely daily... Her illness came on...

The days I spent supporting the Charlotte office when Martha and I both worked at Digital Equipment were special, mainly because of Martha's dedication and spirit. Our collaboration grew to a friendship after Digital, and a precious relationship which has made me a better person. Thanks Martha!

I will miss you, Martha. Your kindness, caring and dedication against all odds is a lesson we all will keep with us. Thank you for being my friend. My prayers are with your family.

Martha, Martha, our dear friend, how we shall miss you, your bright smile and infectious laugh, your endless kindnesses, and outpouring of love for all of God's creatures, especially those in in greatest need. It was our gift to have you among us all for as long as you could stay. That's the thing about angels; God shares them with us for awhile and then He calls them back again.

Somehow I know you are now galloping through the stars with Kalif. Ride on in joy, dear...

Today I received the news of Martha's untimely death from my cousin, Jervey DuPre. So very sad. Martha owns a property in my neighborhood in Hendersonville. I talked to her several times on the telephone. We both grew up in Converse Heights.... so there was lots to talk about. We assumed that our fathers knew each other well. Mr. Holcombe was mayor of Spartanburg when my father, Henry DuPre, was just being elected to the Water Commission. Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing Martha...

I will always remember her kindness, I wish I had been able to meet her face to face before she passed. She was a angel to any animal that needed help. I will never forget her helping save Baby the pit bull. Now Baby has a chance to have a great life with an forever family. My condolences to all of her family. Sandra Hammel

You will truly be missed by so many - you will never know how you and your furry friends helped my son & me.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that are happy.
