Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of being seated next to the Hyders during Van Cliburn's playing of the Tchaikovsky at Bass Hall at a Russian Gala in 2001. Elton complimented me on what "a fine arm" I had when I threw a rose from 4th row and Mr. Giordano caught it on stage! Charming, fun couple. RIP Elton and Martha.

My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of your loved one. May prayers strengthen you and memories comfort you, and may our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father, who loves us, comfort your hearts and "make you firm". (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17)

Tthank you Martha for giving so much of your self to make our city fun and interesting and enterduceing me to mexico and prince albertAND YOUR HOME MADE PILLOWS YOU MADE FOR MY HOUSE WARMING LOVE B

My family and I are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of our beloved Martha Hyder. To say that Martha was special to us would be an understatement. Martha first came into our lives when my father won the Van Cliburn Competition in 1973. As his host family in Texas, and one of the driving forces behind The Cliburn and the arts in Texas and America, she soon became family to all of us. I was born 3 years later and from the very beginning, she was literally my Texan Fairy Godmother....

To all the Hyder Family....I am honoring your Mom here from Aspen....happy that Charlotte was able to fly back for her services...I know that the harps are playing in Heaven Above...and she has those angels rearranging the furniture in Heaven!.....What a force in the Art World...She will be missed by many...Love to all of you....

Whitney and Brent,
There's a wide hole in this world because your Mom went to heaven. I hope they let her decorate!! She was such an inspiration for me and was so sweet and kind to me, I will never, ever forget your mother!! Especially when I look at my collections! I always thought of her so often. "Coolest" lady on the planet!
Love,
Rebecca Collins

Martha was a wonderful woman. I will cherish all our memories from childhood car trips to Colorado, trips to San Miguel and to our visits at the house. Loved her! My deepest sympathy .Love,Shannon Parker Males

Martha was quite a person with a bigger than life personality. Her homes were eclectic museums that had many fun elements. Fort Worth will miss her.

Martha Hyder was the most amazing woman I have ever known! I know Heaven is much more organized now that she has arrived.
