Martha passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016. Martha was a resident of Warwick, Rhode Island at the time of her passing. Her funeral will be held on Monday August 22 at 9 a.m. from the Barrett Cotter Funeral Home 1328 Warwick Avenue Spring Green Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church Jefferson Boulevard Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be made to Access Point Rhode Island 111 Comstock Parkway Cranston RI 02921-2002.

We lose another Henry Street original. I remember Martha as a strong person who had to deal with more than most. Five years my junior, but I remember her so clearly. She taught me compassion and was my first experience with someone dealing with a challenge.
Martha was part of the Henry Street experience - a time I recall so clearly. My wife Ilona and I offer our sincere condolences.

I am heartbroken to read about Martha's passing. I worked with her back in the 80's and she was such a wonderful sweet woman.
