O'Toole, Martha - Passed away peacefully at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion, Carbonear on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 - Age 81 Years.


Predeceased by her parents: Edward and Bertha O'Toole; sisters: Helen (Gilbert) Hillier, Margaret (James) Conway, and Rose O'Toole; brother Leo (Alma) O'Toole; brother-in-law Kenneth Woodford; son-in-law Kenneth Cloutier; and nephew Kevin O'Toole.


Leaving to mourn her daughter Cathy Whelan; grand-daughters: Jessica (Ryan) Nestman, and Katie (James) Whelan; great-grandson Jacob Gonzales; sister Elizabeth Woodford, and brother Edward (Mary) O'Toole.  Also, her nieces and nephews, and a large circle of extended family and friends.


A special thank you to the Staff of 3 South A at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion.


Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Thursday, January 29th from 10:00am - 9:00pm, and Friday, January 30th from 10:00am - 9:00pm.


Funeral Mass will take place from Assumption Church, Station Road, Avondale, Saturday, January 31st, 2026 at 11:00am.


Cremation will follow.


Inurnment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Colliers, in the Family Plot at a time to be announced.


Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Martha's memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

To all Martha's family and friends on behalf of the O'Toole I send my deepest condolances to all . Martha was my 1st cousin and one of my Dad's nieces . Martha was a woman with a huge kind heart and she loved a game of darts and shecould knock them tons off and when she threw them they were like throwing rocks they wasn't falling out we had lots and lots of good times over the years tell dementia took her body and mind over veryy sad disease by far . All the O'Toole family was good dart...
