ANSONIA: Martha Sue Harris Pozarlik, 65, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 21, 2015, at Griffin Hospital, with her loving husband by her side. She was the beloved wife of Joseph S. Pozarlik.
Martha Sue was born in Troy, Alabama on April 10, 1950, daughter of the late Walter T. "Sam" and Martha Helen Parham Harris. She was a security guard at Huntington College in Troy, Alabama until moving to Ansonia 24 years ago. Martha Sue loved quilting and flower gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Thomas "Bubba" McLeod of Deatsville, AL, Joseph M. Pozarlik (Marta) of Fairfield and Allen Pozarlik (Bonnie) of Ansonia, a daughter, Patricia "Sissy" Randle (Lennie) of Deatsville, AL, brothers, Thomas Harris, Harry Harris, and Glen Harris of AL, David Harris of TX and Sam Harris of NC, a sister, Helen Jane Davis of AL, 6 grandchildren, a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 25, 2015, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at River Valley Baptist Church, 355 Main Street in Ansonia. At 11:00 am, a funeral service in celebration of Martha Sue's life will take place with Pastor David Barker officiating. Additional funeral services will take place at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy, AL with burial in Harmony Cemetery in Orion, AL. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
