Martha Roark

My deepest condolences to Jim and to Martha´s entire family and dear friends. She was a legend and two of my daughters and one grandson were fortunate enough to have spent a year of learning at Paideia in her class. It was always a magical year .Rest in Peace, dear Martha.

Martha was a wonderful colleague and a sensitive and excellent teacher of my children. Her contributions to Paideia were multi-faceted and continue to be part of the school.

I taught with Martha at Paideia. She was an exciting teacher, creating a classroom full of activities that caught the imagination of her students: boiling chickens and then reconstructing the skeletons; taking a trip to Jekyll Island to study sea creatures. She was a dedicated science teacher. She created the Science Fair, teaching kids the scientific process as they designed experiments around their interests. I learned from her, enjoyed her and miss her.

Deepest condolences to Jim and the entire Roark family on the passing of a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and a wonderful person.
