Martha "Marty" Robinson

She might not have given herself the credit, but I think Marty was the key spark plug who started Horizon. In the 1980s, I sometimes visited First UU in Dallas, which would get me on the newsletter snail mail list each time for a few weeks. There was no email yet, and the colleges hadn't gotten into teaching computers, but I taught some dBase and Lotus courses for a private contining ed outfit called Fun-Ed, Fun-Ed had a building in Farmers Branch, courses six days each week, never on...

e cherish the memories of the many years we spent at Horizon with the presence of Marty supporting so many activities at the church.

Marty was a dear, engaging, supportive, and welcoming friend at Horizon. She was a powerhouse in a quiet way, like a firm foundation that we knew would never fail. Horizon is so much better because she took up the torch and carried it so very far. So much love to you, Marty, and to Horizon UU Church that gave so many the chance to know her.

i work at Horizon and Marty was always a smiling bright face. I will miss her asking me abt my boys. My prayers are with her family....
