I worked at Kirkwood and Mrs. Martha was one of my favorite residents. She was full of wit, kindness, and most importantly the Holy Spirit. I look forward to worshiping at the Throne with her. Jack and the family will remain in my heart and my prayers. - Abby Thomason

Such great memories of Martha, Jack, and their 3 sons whenever my family visited Alabama! I especially remember Rick at the cute age of 3 when our families went on a picnic together. Once at a family reunion at the Weeks homesite under the trees, Jack was trying to say a blessing, and my daughter Robin (3) had just come back from seeing the cows so she kept Mooing during the prayer! We have pictures of that reunion with all the Hasenbeins. My mother was the next oldest sister to Aunt Clersy...

My most sympathetic thoughts & prayers to Jack & your whole family. We had so many "deep" conversations in the water. I will really miss her. Love, Beverlee

Martha was a lovely, kind, fun person with a fabulous, hearty laugh. She was a role model for young women at the Wesley Foundation in Tuscaloosa who were just trying to figure out our lives. Much love and many prayers to the family. Thinking of you, Jack.
