Not sure what to say?

Mike and siblings,
I was saddened to hear the news of the passing of your Mother. I have lots of pleasant memories of the 58th street Hinsdale days. Your Mom was always kind and thoughtful. Our Moms were always very close. I'm sure she's in a better place now. God Bless.

Dear friends Linnea, John, Emily and Joseph, as well as Mike. Our thoughts are with you as you pass through this painful portion of Life. May the spirit of Love and Peace surround you. Thank you for being loyal and generous friends to us every Christmas Eve, and for sharing your Mom with us during this last decade. May you be comforted by the good memories and your parents excellent longevity. Peace to you all from Olivia, Laura, Sam, Vivienne and Phil Pitts

We were lucky enough to have grown up down the street from the Shurtleff family in Hinsdale. When I think of Mrs Shurtleff
two words come to mind, amazingly kind and
loving. She had sparkle in world full of gray. I am afraid Texas has lost one of it's stars. My thoughts and prayers are
with Mike and the rest of the Shurtleff
clan. Charlie Libby

What a lovely obituary, especially the quote from "Bridge Over Troubled Water." Love and sympathy to you, Linnea and all your siblings, on the loss of your mom, from Susan, John, Colin and Sarah McGinn.
