Martha Thomas Obituary

Thomas, Martha Layne Payton,

62, of Louisville, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015, at home.

She was born in Louisville and a graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School and Spencerian College. She was a paralegal for 20 years and retired from Stites and Harbison Law Firm. She was a single mother who devoted her life to her two boys. She loved her family and opened her heart to many.

Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her brother, John Payton.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Thomas and Toby Thomas; grandchildren, Danielle Snellen, Dylan Thomas and Autumn Thomas; great-grandchildren, Riley and Ariella; siblings, David Payton, Donna Ross, Roy Payton and Denie Payton.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 7pm at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway. Visiting will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
