Martha L. Wandscheer, 90, of Overland Park, KS, passed away April 28, 2011, at Park Meadow Senior Living. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., KCMO; followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Kansas City Hospice or No More Homeless Pets. Martha was born November 11, 1920, the daughter of John V. and Mamie (Olmstead) McConnell, in Kansas City, MO. She was trained in classical music. During her working years she was a legal secretary. Her greatest loves were her husband, her music, and her animals. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Wandscheer, in 2006; and her brother, John V. McConnell. She is survived by her beloved dog and companion, Lamar; nephew, Jim Lancaster and wife, Jean; nephew, Jon Lancaster and wife, Sarah; and niece, Jane Grossenheider.
