Martha S. Weck, nee Kowalski, 78, lifelong resident of Lemont, passed away April 1, 2022, with her family at her side.
Martha’s passions included quilting, baking, the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys. Her true love was being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Martha’s biggest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Preceded in death by a son, Matthew Weck; her mother, Evalon, nee Spencer; and two brothers, Lloyd (late Geraldine) Kowalski and David Kowalski.
Survived by her husband, Norman Weck Sr.; her children, Norman (Gloria) Weck Jr., Evan (Cari) Weck, Randy (Kim) Weck, Chris Weck, and Gayle (Jerry) Triezenberg; her grandchildren, Amanda (Christie N.) Weck, Norman (fiancée Stacey Kapusta) Weck III, Kayla (Ben) Gregory, Veronica Weck, Nikki (Brock) Planeta, Stephanie (Steve) Koehn, Randi (Dave) Jackman, Spencer (Jake) Davito, Vance Weck and Rachel Weck; her great-grandchildren, Cara, Camryn, Emilee, Owen, Easton, Emma, Callie, Forrest, and Norman IV; a sister, Geraldine (late Eugene) Malak; two brothers, Charles “Skip” Splitt and Kerry Splitt; her best friend and sister-in-law, Mitzi Weck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from 3 – 8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont. Funeral services Wednesday, April 6, 2022, 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to the entire Weck family. Miss Martha was a very sweet, kind, strong, loving and endearing soul. Her smile was pure magic. She touched everyone's soul that crosses her path. She loved her family and her children more than anything in this world. She will be missed for all of eternity.

I will miss my 1st quilting teacher who became a great friend. Ms Matha taught me all about fabric stashes and applique. She never met a stranger and her greatest joy was her family. My sincere condolences to the Weck family.
