Dr. Martha became a homemaker after she marries, and they move to Clarksville, and she spent her time volunteering using her talents as chemist and cooking skills combined. She was a member of Cumberland Hills Family and Community Education organization and volunteered with UT Extension that included the project of renovating and maintaining the Smith Trahern Mansion for over 35 years. Are together again. I know Al is singing sweet love songs to Martha as I speak. My heart is aching for Martha's passing but I know they are rejoicing in heaven.

Sweet Martha, may you rest in peace and joy knowing the kindness you shared with all you met. You and Al were dear to us all and I will always treasure the dinner at your home. Al is really singing now!
