Not sure what to say?

I am sitting in my cube at work and for some reason Martin popped into my head. I started thinking about all of the times we hung out doing some type of activity. I remember when my sister Gina called to say Martin had passed. It was hard to believe then. It is still hard to believe now. Martin hung around our family for several years. We always had a good time when he was around.

Funny, it has been almost a year since anyone has written about my little brother. I have been thinking a lot about Bubby lately. Maybe it is the season; the annual Don N Suds Turkey Bowl at Zmuda's and Christmas around the corner. I do miss the Fudge so much. He was a big, gentle soul and I loved him. Here's to you Bubby!

My husband, my life... I miss him so much. I never thought I'd have to live on without him. He was the most amazing man I've ever known, and will ever hope to know.

It has been nearly six months since Martin's death, and I think about him daily. For the first time in my adult life, my birthday passed without a phone call from him.....

The holidays are upon us, so I choose to remember happier times: Martin visiting on Father's Day 2002 and seeing Zak; his passion for South Park; "Bruce, get off my sister"; the Lungaro weddings; the ties on the head at Alberico weddings; and a common theme - teaching me how to drive stick in his old Celica....

Bub was one of those people that was present in my life ever since I can remember. One of my earliest memories of Bubby was him laughing at me doing my imitation of Curley from the Three Stooges on his front lawn. Anyone that ever came in contact with him was blessed with his warmth, laugh, smiles, and humorous quips. From the leg and arm tortures and the noogies he administered freely to me when I was a child to the stick shift lessons in the old Celica when I was a teenager to the time he...

My brother Bubby was such a kind and gentle soul whose gorgeous face and delightful smile belied the beautiful human being that he was. He was such a considerate, loving person who brought a lot of joy to others. I miss him sorely and know that God is holding him in the palm of His hand. I love you, Bubby. May God keep you close to His heart.

Martin and I roomed together in college, and he quickly became the little brother I never had. He had a wonderfully dry, self effacing sense of humor. During our "Knights of Classic Lore" pledge dance, who was the guy dressed like a White Castle Slider? Martin. Bubby was always up for drenching the pledges with water from our second floor window, and he never shied away from a good ornament fight at Christmas time. I can still hear the "skinny guy" kicking our door open upon returning from...

Uncle Bubby, Uncle Fudge, Uncle Prince, Uncle "Maaar-din" (can only be pronounced correctly by my Granny)....
I will always remeber you: your laugh, your movie collection, the "Jerky Boys" quotes, the glorious Thanksgiving day football games, your tightfitting T-shirts worn paper-thin (in which you showcased your mighty "pythons"), and of course, the Christmas Eve when you dominated Matthew and I in the famous Alberico ravioli-eating contest. I will remember your patience and good nature...

The memories of my brother keep coming over me like a wave, but there are two that I cannot stop thinking about. The first is when I was in first grade, Bubby was three years old and we were best friends. He would greet me at the bus stop every day and walk me home. I can still see him from the bus running down the street to meet me.

The other is of Martin and Jaime's first dance at their wedding. To see the look on his face as they danced to the Godfather Waltz was truly wonderful....
