Not sure what to say?

I am grateful to the Martin and Illie Anderson Fellowship that enables people everywhere to learn from Victor Davis Hanson.

Once again, I am so sad about Marty's passing. Many times I want to call him for advice and then I remember he is gone. He was the most amazing man, and working with him was a joy.

Before Marty retired in Palo Alto, I was one of his golf partners at Waialae every Saturday. I also remember him as a pole vault coach at Punahou. I'll miss him. A tough lawyer from 8-5 and a great guy afterwards. Stuart Ho

Marty was a wonderful attorney, mentor and friend. He will be missed.

Wonderful man true patriot the world could use more like him may he rest in peace

I'm incredibly grateful for having such a present and involved grandfather my entire life. Right up until the end. He is missed tremendously. My family and I so appreciate seeing the comments left here in response to his obituary and will continue to look at them. Thank you.

Every year I went to the Marine Corps Birthday celebration at Hoover, and every year I marveled at the strapping WWII Marine who was there in his Alpha´s with a chest full of medals. It was of note that he was for the longest time only the second oldest Marine there, until the passing of Secretary Schultz. What an extraordinary life he led. The world is a lesser place. Semper Fi, Colonel.

Marty brought me to Goodsill after serving as my attorney while I was Corporation Counsel for Honolulu. I valued his mentorship. We were good friends, a relationship I have always cherished.
