Not sure what to say?

I´m writing this months late because I just saw the notice of Marty´s passing in the Clark alumni magazine. I played baseball with Marty at Clark. He was one of my favorite teammates, always supportive and always ready for the most important play, the next play. The memory of pulling off the hidden ball trick twice in practice with Marty -on the same guy- always makes me smile. The world lost a great guy.

My sympathies to Marty's family. I played winter league and summer league basketball in Worcester for many years with Fred and Wayne Barry, Marty , Dave Maki, Bob Berman and a few other great guys. Most unselfish, enjoyable team that I ever played on, winning 33 straight games at on point, often against superior teams. Rest in Peace, Marty. You will be missed.

That was a well deserved article in the Telegram on Marty. I coached against Marty and marveled at his athleticism and basktetball skills. I met Marty when he played at Clark with 2 of my former players, one of them being Bobby Thibeault who was mentioned in the article. Both of my former players spoke to me many times about how great a guy Marty was- very humble and a genuinely nice person . I met him once after a game at Clark and he was that humble, nice person that they had spoken about....

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Marty- my sincere at condolences during this extremely difficult time.

So sorry to hear this passing at such a young age, I lived up the street from Marty on Woodford Street on Vernon Hill. I can remember seeing him walking up the street dribbling his basketball on his way to Vernon Hill Park to play ball. A great kid with a terrific personality I´m a bit stunned I must say! May you rest in peace

We are very sorry for your loss. Our hearts are filled with sadness. We send all our love and deepest sympathy.

Will miss seeing you go by in your pontoon boat. I especially loved it when you stopped bye. Marty always had a big smile and so enjoyed the lake.

I have not seen Marty in years . I will always remember him as just a nice guy . Great ball player and a guy who enjoyed a good laugh . To his family ,my deepest condolences.

My deepest sympathy for you and your family for this great great loss. Marty will be deeply missed and may he forever rest in peace
