I´d like to offer my sincere belated condolence's to Marty´s family and friends. We were actually quite good friends in college. Marty invited myself and several other friends(we were all from Hawaii) to spend Thanksgiving with his family in Roslyn. I cherish the memories of playing in the snow, riding snowmobiles, and talking to the cows. One one trip to Roslyn he and his friends introduced me to beer and tomato juice(?)...whoever thought that was a good idea? Had some great times playing...

Marty was a great competitor, and a favorite funny guy on the team (Cresto & Lanphere)! He was younger than most of guys and caught a lot of the trash talking that went on. He handled it well & gave his share back. He came from a great Roslyn family & will be missed. Rest In Peace my friend! Prayers to Mom, sister & daughters!

I am a classmate of Marty´s from Roslyn, we went to kindergarten and first grade together before I moved in second grade. He was a very caring and kind person. One day in class I told our teacher I had something hurting me on my next but she didn´t believe me till finally I was crying and went up to her desk. It was a tick on my neck from mushroom picking with my parents the day before. The teacher put it in a jar and Marty and I took it to the principal which I thought was pretty cool...

I had the honor of working with Marty for many years. He was not just my co-worker and supervisor but he was also my friend. Marty was a kind, caring man who positively touched the lives of many, many young lives throughout his career. He was a family man first and spoke of his daughters often. You could hear the pride and love in his voice when he would speak of them. Marty definitely left his mark on this world and will be greatly missed. Rest easy now and free of pain Marty, I appreciated...

I had the opportunity to work with Marty for many years, with his last assignment as my supervisor. He had a passion for the work he did, he had a great sense of humor, and Ellensburg was the home of his favorite burger. He loved Kittitas County, he always said it was his home. Mostly, he loved his daughters and his family, they were his joy. Rest in peace, and heaven just improved their pitching squad.
