Not sure what to say?

Condolences to Marty´s family. He certainly was a presence at IWU when he went through the Dugout and announcing to each table that JFK had been shot. I will never forget that day and the message Marty brought. Such a wonderful man.

I can't believe it's been 9 years. Although I wasn't a super close friend of Marty's, I can still visualize his smile and graciousness. He was a person of light in a dreary world.

An incredible man is now an incredible spirit

Great and heartfelt condolences on Marty's passing, especially to Arnie, Nick and the family.

I last saw him just 2-1/2 years ago in Natick, Massachusetts.

A most unusual and outstanding personality whom I had the privilege of knowing.

Best,

James A. Luedke, Jr.

I knew Marty from Mensa, yes THAT hi IQ society. It was always a joy to talk with him. The man exuded genuine warmth like a radiator on a cold winter's day. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. I'll always remember that laugh!

It's been years since the Mensa events when we hung out together, before Marty & I moved away. Just About Perfect really does describe you, and because of that, I know that you'll always be just down the road apiece. My condolences to Arnie, Cami, Nick, and your extended family and friends, but thank you for having provided light in my life that can never be extinguished.

I got to work with Marty at the Cap, no one more fun to work for and no one looked better in black tie. And, Arne (hope it's ok to call you that!), i'm most sorry for your loss, I only knew him the smallest bit but it wasn't hard to see what kind of man he was. I'm most sorry, though, that he won't be there to cheer when we finally get to elect you as President. II'll be voting for that,
I know you are surrounded by those that love you, but we out here send our thoughts and best wishes too.

Thanksgiving will never be the same without Marty sharing his warmth, football strategy, potato rolls, and joyfulness with all of us. We are so lucky to have had him in our family's life and will miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Arnie and Cami and Nick, as you continue your lives without him there. He might not have believed it, but I do think he will continue to watch over all of those whose lives he touched.

Marty was my boss for a short time at DES. My best memory of him is on 9/11 when we were all in shock. His words were "we are at war." I asked him who we could be at war with and he had no answer at that time. I've always wondered what he would have said as things worked out as they did. I've thought of that often over the years and also his joy at his engagement around that time. I doubt anyone who came in contact with Marty, no matter how brief could ever forget him. He was a truly...
