Not sure what to say?

Marty, is my second cousin. I am Eugene and Sandra Goldsmith's son. I only remember the stories that my Dad told me and he always spoke highly of him. I am sure I met him, but I cannot recall. I wish I would have taken the time to see him during my travelling in the military. My wife Stacey and children, Brittany and Justin send our prayers to his family.

Marty is my cousin. I have loved him like a brother. We have always been very proud of his accomplishments and he was always liked by the people he was associated with. We didn't always stay in touch as we should have, but when my daughter's family lost their house to Katrina he and a few of his friends were right there with offers of help and I expressed it to him and wish to tell the other people thankyou. I want to express my sadness to his immediate family.

I was an original neighbor of Marty and Kay at Lexington. We were right next door. They were so very nice to me during my divorce. I shall remember Marty's smile. Kay, my sympathy is with you and your family at this time.
God Bless.

I'll miss the thursday night poker and occasional golf matches with one of the world's most endearing individuals. He was quite a character and a learning experience to be around. We will all miss him.

Marty, as my father likes to call him, was my father's cousin. As a young man, Marty lived with my father, Gene, in Birmingham for some time. My father was an only child, but he always refers to Marty as the brother he never had. The expressions on my fathers face when he tells stories of the escapades he and Marty used to get into are priceless. Although, I have only met Marty a few times that I remember, I know that his presence had a profound effect on those around him and that he will...

Marty is my dad's cousin - my second cousin. I lived in Louisiana until recently, so I was not fortunate enough to see him much. After my husband and I lost our home in Hurricane Katrina, Marty offered to help in any way and did. We so very much appreciated it. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. He was a remarkable person.

We are sad that we will be missing a good neighbor, but know that he is with God and without pain and suffering.

It was with sadness that I read about Marty's passing. I have and will continue to pray for you, Kay, and the entire family. I will be having a Mass offered at the Convent by Father Bill Mulcair.

With love and sympathy,
