My sincere sympathy to Marty's family. Marty was a couple years ahead of me in high school. He was always energetic, bright, friendly, and kind. His parents were very decent, hardworking people, as is his brother Ed. Great family. We were blessed to have known Marty.

Certain people make a real impact on your life, and Marty was one of those individuals. He was our JV wrestling coach but he was also a mentor and friend who always seemed to know what to say to keep us smiling and moving forward, not just on the mat but also preparing us for the realities of life. I've often thought of him in my adult life and my only regret is that I never saw him again in person to thank him for the difference that he made in all of our lives. Rest in peace Marty and...
