Not sure what to say?

Hello Jo-Ann & Marilyn,

I am related to the Conway Clan of Ferryland, Newfoundland who migrated to Monreal approx. 1896. My grandmother, Isabella (1880) and your grandfather, Martin Joseph (1886) were children of Martin Conway, our great-grandfather, who I would like to learn more about. Hearsay has he was born in Ireland, but I cannot find any documentation confirming this.

I now live in Ottawa, grew up in Montreal, Point St. Charles, St. Gabriel's Parish. I have two sisters...

Jo Ann and Marilyn,
I have been desperately trying to talk to either of you about your father, Martin. I know of no other way to contact you except through the memorial you placed.
I want to know more about your father, and his father, Martin, who is the brother to my Grandfather, John. They were all born in Ferryland, Newfoundland to Martin Conway and Catherine Powell. Please contact me. My email is [email protected]. My name is Colleen Conway Burnette and I live in Tampa Florida

Jo Ann and Marilyn,

I am your 2nd cousin, Colleen Conway Burnette. Even though we have never met, I would like to become family with you. I am the granddaughter of John Joseph Conway who was brother to your grandfather, Martin Joseph Conway, born 1886 in Ferryland, Newfoundland and married to Eva McConville. I would love to share family information with you that I have found through my genealogy research and I would also like to know if you have information on our ancestor, Martin...

Jo Ann and Marilyn,
So sorry that I placed in my note to you that Martin Conway was married to Catherine Laware. When doing genealogy research, names sometimes get mixed up. Martin's wife was Catherine Powell. Sorry again for the confusion on my part.

Hello JoAnn & Marilyn,

I was referred to this memoriam for your Dad, from a newly found 2nd-3rd? cousin in Florida. Colleen & I have been trying to find Martin Conway, my great-grandfather, who married Catherine Powell in 1870 in Ferryland, Nfld. Catherine came to Montreal in 1896 after Martin died, with five children, one being my grandmother, Isabella, this is how the folklore goes. I am from Montreal, now living in Ottawa, knew some of my Conway relatives in Montreal, but no...

Jo Ann and Marilyn,
I wish I had known you earlier, since we are related. I am also a Conway.
My Great Grandfather was Martin Conway who was married to Catherine Laware who were married in Ferryland Newfoundland in 1870. One of their children, John Joseph, was my grandfather. He was the brother of your grandfather that married Eva McConnville.
I am researching the Conway Family Genealogy and hope you are able to help me in my research. My E-mail is [email protected].
