Not sure what to say?

I have just learnt of Martin's death and am shocked. Martin treated my husband who sadly died of melanoma in 2002. Martin's care and compassion, humour and humanity were incredible and made that time more bearable. I then went on to develop melanoma and Martin was involved in my treatment. A scholarship in memory of my husband and using his legacy was set up by Martin to further research into immunotherapy.A wonderful man who made an indelible impression on my life.My deepest condolences...

I will always remember the kindness and compassion with which I was treated by Martin Gore thirty one years ago when I was ill with Hodgkin Lymphoma. He was so empathetic but also honest. I can never thank him enough. Such a sad loss of a very special person. I would like to send my condolences to his family. Marianne Day.

Martin Gore entered Smithers Ward with Dr Rob Buckman when they were two young registrars...
They brought Joy and Laughter to all the Staff and patients..
They produced a wonderful week of entertainment to raise funds for the Royal Marsden, ,,with their amazing sense of Humour..
A GREAT LOSS TO MANKIND... I IMAGINE HIM IN HEAVEN WITH ROB , CREATING THEIR NEXT MASTERPIECE. ,. GOD BLESS ...

I first met Martin Gore in 2011 after being referred to him for a second opinion he was very professional but also down to earth he made me feel at ease, over the years I continued to meet with him and we discussed new developments in the world of melanoma he was always interested in my journey and his opinion has been sought on a regular basis and I'm still here.
tithe world has last an amazing Doctor and a great human being.

I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Professor Gore's untimely and tragic death. When the chemo of choice failed I was referred to Dr Gore to be treated with a trial drug which was very successful, but the cancer returned 6 months later. After almost 3 years of chemo Professor Gore decided I should have an operation. The following day, although I could barely move having stitches all up my front and a skin graft, I could feel my old energy bubbling up inside me and felt I could run...

I worked with Martin as an oncology fellow in 1992 and 1993. I will never forget his wild sense of humour which made working with him so much fun. He was inspirational to work with, kind and gentle. His untimely passing is a huge loss to all. Condolences to his family

I first met Professor Gore two years ago , I was referred to him for a second opinion, when we met I was taken aback by his kindness and informality , it was apparent that he was a truly dedicated man , I then became one of his patients soon afterwards , I had tremendous respect
for him , I feel privileged to have known him even for a short time , on another occasion I bumped into him not far from the hospital , it was like being greeted by an old friend , he will be greatly missed by his...

Professor Gore saved my life nearly 3 years ago now. When I look back and read my panicked texts to him and his calm, thoughtful and measured replies- I know realise he was more than just an oncologist, he was a human being with no ego.
I cried when I heard he had tragically passed because he made being so unwell easy! He looked me straight in the eyes before my first chemotherapy and said you're going to be fine- I immediately relaxed and never doubted that I wouldn't get better. I will...
